Client
Emigrand Art Hotel is a conceptual hotel founded by a family of travelers who returned to Ukraine. The philosophy of the establishment combines the multicultural experience of the owners with the comfort of a real home that you always want to return to.
Task
Our team needed to develop a comprehensive visual identity system and integrate brand characters into the local context. The main goal was to create a distinctive corporate identity and detailed guidelines for its use in order to unify the look of all media, from souvenirs to textiles. A special focus was placed on adapting the characters Andy and Monroe to Ukrainian ethnic style, which emphasizes the unique atmosphere of the hotel.
Decision
To implement the project, we chose a strategy of step-by-step visual modeling. Instead of abstract sketches, we created realistic mockups for each medium — from stationery to textiles — which allowed us to perfectly integrate the design into the physical environment of the hotel. We decided on the artistic part through the synergy of artificial intelligence and design retouching: after generating the basis of the images in an ethnic style, we manually refined the emotions and details to transform Andy and Monroe into a harmonious duo that looks restrained and tasteful.
Logo redesign
Before
After
- First, we developed a logo and corporate pattern. Consistency is important here, because the hotel's identity has many points of contact with guests, and our team's task is to create a reliable foundation so that the brand looks consistent and is correctly reproduced on any materials.

- To ensure the flexibility of the visual system, we have developed a variable range of logos with different color combinations. This guarantees that the logo remains recognizable and aesthetically pleasing on any medium, from smartphone screens to embroidery on textiles.

Pattern and corporate identity

- The visual language is based on a modular pattern composed of stylized symbols and images. The main advantage of the system is its adaptability. We have provided for various usage scenarios: from a rich, bright palette with colored blocks to a restrained pastel version.

- The modules work like a construction set: they can be easily combined into symmetrical or asymmetrical compositions, and individual graphic elements can be used independently, without a background, while maintaining brand recognition.

- During the style implementation stage, we developed designs for key points of contact with guests. Different compositional schemes were chosen for personal and corporate business cards to distinguish between individual and general communication while maintaining brand recognition.
- The design of souvenir products, in particular pens, and hotel service elements is based on the principles of minimalism with the use of recognizable pattern elements. To demonstrate to the client how the style works in real life, we prepared a series of realistic mockups that show the texture of materials and the interaction of colors under different lighting conditions.

- To integrate the identity into the hotel space, we developed a design for navigation and information signs that harmoniously complement the interior. Conceptual paintings featuring the brand heroes, Andy and Monroe, became a special accent.
- We reimagined classic pop art images, adding Ukrainian ethnic flavor to them. This allowed us to create a unique duo of paintings that emphasizes the Emigrand concept: a combination of world art with the soul of home.

- Using artificial intelligence tools followed by careful manual retouching, we “dressed” the characters in Ukrainian ethnic style.
- • Monroe received elegant ethnic jewelry and clothing elements.
- • Andy was given a charismatic smile and embroidered shirt details.
- The backgrounds of the paintings were unified to create a cohesive duo.
Creating a brand book

- The final stage was the development of a brand book that systematizes all the rules of visual identification. In it, we have established standards for the use of the logo, corporate color palette, and principles for pattern construction. It is a detailed instruction manual that guarantees the integrity and recognizability of the Emigrand Art Hotel brand on any medium: from business cards to interior design solutions.

Project RESULTS
The RUBARB team developed a comprehensive visual system and art concept for Emigrand Art Hotel. In three months, we went from redesigning the logo to creating a full-fledged brand book, which includes a variable modular pattern and design for all media: from printing to textiles.
The integration of brand heroes Andy and Monroe in Ukrainian ethnic style allowed us to create a unique emotional accent in the interior. The presence of a systematic brand book helped the client unify visual communication and solve the task of designing the space in a single style that conveys the philosophy of “world experience with a Ukrainian soul.”
